Project details

Thunderer Jetty, located on the River Thames, forms part of a bulk liquid storage terminal handling clean petroleum, petrochemicals and speciality liquids. Imported liquids are offloaded from ships and pumped to the landside storage facilities via raised pipelines on steel racks.

A new jetty was constructed adjacent to the existing concrete and timber pile structure, which had deteriorated. Works included:

  • Piling for the new jetty approach and jetty head
  • Installing pre-cast concrete slabs for the new platform
  • Constructing a steel pile berthing line to accommodate large vessels
  • Installing new steel racks and pipelines for liquid transfers
