Project details
This major redevelopment scheme of an existing gyratory aimed to improve traffic flow, accommodate increased capacity, and provide new signals operating under ‘real-time’ urban traffic control. Key works included:
- New right-hand turn to access the A331 southbound and M3 without using the main roundabout
- Extension of the queueing lane for drivers approaching on the A331 from Frimley and the M3
- Installation of new traffic lights and vehicle detectors
- Improved pedestrian and cyclist crossings
- Upgraded surface water drainage (SuDS) and accommodation of STATs companies
- Landscaping and stream clearance
- Installation of vehicle restraint systems
