About Loukas Karampogias

Loukas is a chartered quantity surveyor and adjudicator with over 20 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industries, specialising in value, cost, risk and dispute management.

Loukas ran his own engineering and construction management consultancy practice in Greece until 2015, as a licensed civil engineer and Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. Between 2015 and 2020, he worked in London providing quantity surveying services to contractors, primarily on large-scale, high-end residential and commercial developments valued up to £360 million, along with earlier experience on basement extension projects for prime residential properties.

Since 2021, Loukas has specialised in forensic quantum analysis and reporting on construction claims with values up to approximately £1.5 billion. He has been involved in both domestic and predominantly international disputes across four continents, including multiple ICC and LCIA arbitrations. These have covered a wide range of sectors, including residential developments with commercial elements, industrial facilities, and major energy infrastructure such as LNG and nuclear projects.
Loukas is a member of the UKA Panel of Adjudicators, the CIC Low Value Disputes Model Adjudication Procedure Panels of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Construction Industry Council, and the RICS Consumer Home Improvements Dispute Service Panel of Adjudicators.

Loukas is committed to lifelong professional development and actively supports colleagues in achieving chartered status with the RICS. He is a member of the Society of Construction Law and the Adjudication Society, and volunteers with Toastmasters International.
