About Danny Frost

Danny is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 40 years of experience in the industry. He has worked across the private and public sectors for building and civil engineering contractors, subcontractors, employers, developers and private clients. His extensive experience includes managing compliance and implementing financial project controls to ensure contracts are administered correctly on building and highway works.  

Danny has been involved in preparing claims and defending disputes since 1992 and regularly assists expert witnesses in dispute resolution proceedings. He has conducted quantum assessments for multiple long-term maintenance contracts and fire cladding disputes, as well as in respect of loss, and the anticipated construction cost of a £60 million residential development. His work also includes quantum claims relating to professional negligence, and he has acted as expert witness in adjudication, providing valuation of variations and loss and expense claims. 

Danny has held senior management positions with some of the industry’s largest contracting organisations, giving him a detailed understanding of how the industry operates. Throughout his career, he has advised on risk management, cash recovery, maximising entitlements and dispute escalation procedures, as well as providing commercial advice to specialist contractors, such as developers, M&E contractors, and marine contractors. His expertise also extends to curtain walling and restoration of historic buildings.
